CTC prides itself on being a leader not only the rail community, but also in the Fort Worth, Texas community our corporate headquarters calls home. Since 2007, CTC and its employees have continuously engaged in community service efforts to assist those less fortunate. Our employees have given both their time and financial assistance to offer support to the organizations listed below.
Our Father’s Children
Since 2013, CTC has successfully launched a partnership with Our Father’s Children, a faith-based non-profit organization that exists to provide outreach to children of abuse and neglect in North Texas. Our Father’s Children provides free week-long camps, mentoring clubs and weekend retreats to children between the ages of 6-18. CTC employees have given generously of their time, skills and finances to help make sure North Texas children who have been identified as abused or neglected experience support and encouragement.
Operation Christmas Child
In 2012, CTC employees contributed time and donations to compile 38 shoe boxes for a Samaritan’s Purse outreach called Operation Christmas Child. Operation Christmas Child is an organization that collects small gifts, packaged in shoe boxes, to send around the world to be given to children in need.
In 2010, CTC employees contributed monetary donations to the Salvation Army, dedicated to those with specific physical needs.
Tarrant Area Food Bank
In 2009, CTC employees focused on monetary donations to assist the Tarrant Area Food Bank in feeding the hungry in Fort Worth, Texas.
Habitat for Humanity
In both 2007 and 2008, CTC employees contributed personal time and the total cost of two homes through Habitat for Humanity’s housing program. Employees constructed one home in north Fort Worth, Texas, and the other in the Como neighborhood of Fort Worth.
